Abstract Background Thromboinflammation plays a central role in severe COVID‐19. The kallikrein pathway activates both inflammatory pathways and contact‐mediated coagulation. We investigated if modulation of the thromboinflammatory response improves outcomes in hospitalized COVID‐19 patients.
