Endometriosis is a complex gynaecological disorder characterised by the presence of endometrial-like tissue outside the uterus, leading to chronic inflammation, pain, and infertility. Recent research suggests that gut microbiota may play a crucial role in the pathogenesis and progression of endometriosis by modulating immune responses and oestrogen metabolism.
